Hi, I’m Justin — the photographer behind ColARTado.
I’ve spent years chasing light all over the world, but Colorado will always be home. The first gold on an aspen grove in September, the exact moment downtown Denver turns orange at sunset, the quiet drama of Red Rocks under a passing storm — these are the frames I keep coming back for. What started as a habit of always having a camera nearby turned into a real obsession with composition — finding the shot where a mountain road, a crow on a wire, or a field of wildflowers actually tells a story instead of just documenting a place.
Every image on this site is edited by hand in a style that’s become my own — rich, a little moody, built to hold up as a print on your wall rather than just a quick scroll on a phone. I’m not interested in making Colorado look like a postcard. I want it to look the way it actually feels to stand there.
Colorado’s given me more good days than days of sunshine year after year, and ColARTado is my way of sharing that back — one print at a time, and one percentage point at a time. A portion of every sale (5.280%, in honor of Denver’s own mile-high elevation) goes toward supporting small, local Colorado businesses, because the best thing about this state has always been the people who call it home.
Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for supporting local art.
